Dana Rice Hicks, MA, LCMHC, NCC – Team Lead and Program Manager
Dana Rice Hicks, MA, LCMHC, NCC serves as the Team Lead and program manager for the Intensive In-Home team. In that role, she provides clinical direction for a team of four, who serve clients who are at risk for out-of-home placement. Dana believes in the effectiveness of a biopsychosocial and strengths-based approach to therapy and has a trauma-informed, person-centered focus. She uses the evidence-based models of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Dana received her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from Appalachian State University in 2015. Then in 2017, Dana received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from Montreat College. Dana is currently being rostered with TF-CBT certification and is scheduled to complete the cohort in the fall of 2022. She is rostered to provide the Comprehensive Trauma-Informed Assessment (CTIA).
Dana worked with children for 15 years in as a children’s librarian and has over 25 years as a volunteer in children’s ministry at church, as a co-founder of a non-profit basketball camp and as a home educator for 20 years. It was natural for her to build upon those areas of service by using her professional training and calling to work with children in the mental/behavioral health community.
Robert A. Collier, BA, QMHP – IIH Care Coordinator/Case Manager
Robert received his Bachelors of Arts Degree from High Point University (HPU) specializing in English-Literature and Philosophy. Robert is a North Carolinian native born in Raleigh and raised in Statesville. Robert is certified by the state of North Carolina as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). Robert plans to enroll in the University of the North Carolina-Chapel Hill’s Master of Public Health and Master of Social Work dual degree program with the hope of becoming a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the near future.
Prior to joining CHA in October of 2019, Robert spent the previous three years coordinating and facilitating structured treatment for client while working at a level III residential treatment center for male children & adolescents as an assistant director. In this position, Robert facilitated evidence-based group therapy/treatment with clients on a regular basis, and he worked with caregivers as each client successfully transitioned back home after discharging from this residential facility.
Robert’s areas of specialty under the supervision of a licensed clinician include children and adolescents with oppositional defiant behavior, unhealthy functionality in both home and school settings, youth delinquency, anger, anxiety, depression, and suicidality. As a QMHP, Robert primarily utilizes evidence-based modalities of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), & Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) while facilitating skill-building and psychoeducational sessions with clients.
Robert is passionate about providing children and adolescents who struggle with various mental health diagnoses with effective treatment applications as the evolution of behavior health continues to expand and progress.
Bryan Gilliland, BA, QMHP – Case Manager
Bryan has been with the agency for four years, working in the Intensive In-Home program.
He graduated from Lenior Rhyne University in 2013 with a BA in Human and Community services. Bryan has over eight years of working experience in human services. He has worked with Child Protective Services, as a Medical Case Manager, Psychiatric Hospital, and now Community-Based Programs. He believes in helping individuals with social justice to empower themselves to have a better life outcome. Bryan enjoys spending time with his family as much as possible, and he enjoys playing golf with close friends.
Zandrea Lattimore, MA QP – Case Manager
Zandrea Lattimore is a graduate of Livingstone College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in learning and education. Zandrea is member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and Alpha Phi Omega. She says that Intensive In-Home is a program that she has grown to love, because you get to help the client as well as the family and being a daily change in the world is always a plus. Zandrea also runs a nonprofit organization, The Lattimore Foundation, that feeds the homeless weekly, organizes a yearly toy and coat drive, and assists women and men who transition out of prison and help them prepare to reenter society.
