Different Levels of Foster Care
Meet the Different Needs of NC Youth
At Children’s Hope Alliance, our highest priority is to provide a safe home environment for children in need. Our family and therapeutic foster care program is often the first safe home some children have ever known. We specially train and monitor foster families to make sure every child who needs it, has a safe home and loving place to call home.
Program Highlights
- All families and training utilize the Teaching Family Model. TFM is founded on belief that all children have the potential and capacity to learn and grow, regardless of their upbringing, trauma and experiences. The model provides children with an emotionally and physically safe environment which promotes confidence, skill development and the fostering of healthy interpersonal relationships.
- Every child requiring placement is closely matched with a therapeutic foster family who is willing and able to meet the needs of that child.
- All Foster Parents licensed with CHA have received over 40 hours of training and are licensed as Therapeutic Foster Parents
- Youth placed with CHA are linked with all educational, medical and mental health services required to ensure their success.
- All Therapeutic Foster Parents are assigned a Foster Care Case Manager and Recruiter/Trainer, from the forefront of licensure to provide a wrap-around level of support on their fostering journey.
