We prioritize maintaining a health work-life balance for our staff. We ensure that everyone has enough time for both their professional responsibilities and personal life by providing flexible schedules. Achieving a great balance between work and personal life is essential for our overall well-being and happiness.
Our remote work package includes a monthly remote stipend for internal full-time employees, a laptop and cell phone, and a one-time, 500-dollar remote office stipend to assist staff with setting up their home office. Staff are eligible for this one-time stipend after 90 days of employment.
Showing appreciation towards our staff is extremely important to us. We host quarterly luncheons with delicious food, great company, and fun games. We also host an online recognition platform that allows staff to give shout-outs to one another and win exciting prizes. In addition, we also have employee resource groups where staff can get together based on based on life experience, culture, demographics, and/or shared interests.
Our Heartstrings Program offers free hot/iced coffee and smoothies for employees on our Statesville Campus as part of their teen coffee barista workforce program. This coffee shop is also open to the public!

We provide generous paid time off to enhance our employees' work-life balance. In addition, we offer separate bereavement leave to support employees during difficult times and provide an extra day off for employees to celebrate their birthdays.
Children’s Hope Alliance pays the majority of the premium for coverage on all employees working 30 hours or more per week. Medical insurance for dependents is available.
Children’s Hope Alliance provides a $20,000 life insurance policy for each full time employee. Additional coverage is offered for employees and dependents and can be deducted from your payroll.
Children’s Hope Alliance provides long term disability coverage which will pay 60% of base salary until retirement age for all full time employees, beginning on the 91st day of disability. Short-term disability coverage can also be added.
Employees have the option to purchase the additional insurance coverage for themselves or their dependents. Packages include: Dental, Vision, Accident, Cancer, Critical Illness, and Flexible Spending Accounts. Our EAP is a program that offers support and resources to help employee resolve personal issues. Employees are automatically enrolled in our EAP through MYgroup.
A Tax Deferred Annuity Plan, also known as a 403(b) Plan, is available to provide funds for employee retirement. Employees can start saving to their retirement account as soon as their first paycheck. After being employed for a full fiscal year, the agency will put in a 1% bonus of your yearly salary. As part of the Safe Harbor Plan, CHA matches 100% of the first 3% that employees put in, and another 50% up to 5%. For example, if you put in 5%, CHA will put in 4%.
